ProQuest Ebook Central is a large collection of material spanning a healthy cross-section of topics with content compatible with almost any device. We always suggest that students use book-length material BEFORE looking at journal articles. This is because the books will present and place more information in context. For a new researcher, it often makes more sense to start with a book and then ‘fill in the gaps’ with articles.

Clicking on the ProQuest Ebook Central database will take you to the main search page. You also have the ability to do an Advanced Search or Browse Subjects.
ProQuest has a variety of helpful videos on its YouTube channel. Additional help can be found on the main ProQuest Ebook page. Just look under "Barstow College".
Once you click on the book title from the results list, click on the “Read Online” button. You will be taken to the full-text copy of your online book. From there you can bookmark, highlight, add notes, and increase text size. The video below demonstrates these features.
