Finding peer-reviewed academic articles
Many of the websites that you may have been using for your research papers are not true academic sources. While clicking on a .edu -educational site may help you for general information it is not a true academic journal or academic article that your instructor is asking for.
An academic journal can be found through the library databases and found through Google Scholar.
You can narrow your search by changing the geography of your search unless you are looking for articles outside your country. As a general rule, it is best to find articles written in the last seven years.
GEOGRAPHY- United States
DATE RANGE - last seven years
TYPE OF ARTICLE - always look for specifically peer-reviewed journals. Periodicals and magazines should not be used in place of academic articles.
